Process Paper 265 words
The topic that Mia and Morgan chose is the Underground Railroad-Slavery. We chose this because we believed that this topic is interesting and we wanted to learn more about it.
We conducted our research by using resources and the internet at school, and we found a great quantity of information. We took notes of what we found on the internet. We also asked our history teacher if he had any interesting and useful books on the topic. Surprisingly, he did have a little book on history, and a few pages on the Underground Railroad. We gathered all of the information and combined them. We put them in exact order to create a large outline. This was extremely helpful. We immediately started our annotated bibliography so it would not be left until the last minute.
We selected our category, website, because we are Eco-friendly and we did not want to waste paper. Also we love to work on the computer, so we thought about working on Weebly. We were inspired by an example of a website on nhd.org. To create our project, we used Weebly to help us display our information about the Underground Railroad on a website.
The theme for this year is Turning Points in History: People, Ideas, and Events. The Underground Railroad relates to the theme because it was the most successful way for a slave to escape.
